Our Impact
The OCHT has been a key participant in the development of affordable housing for Orange County’s workforce since 2004. While operating under the Neighborhood Housing Services of Orange County, the OCHT built a solid track record of successful lending, loaning over $13 million for down payment assistance and predevelopment financing. This investment resulted in 194 new homeowners and 84 units of newly constructed housing.
In our new role as a 501(c)(3) independent nonprofit corporation, we continue making loans to for-profit and non-profit developers that are engaged in creating and expanding the supply of affordable and workforce housing options in Orange County. We are funded by the private sector and government agencies. Recent and current investors in OCHT include:
• Wells Fargo Bank
• J.P. Morgan Chase
• State of California Housing and Community Development Department
