When it comes to affordable housing, our region is in crisis. Our workers are faced with the “choice” of putting in double shifts plus weekends — or spending hours each day commuting to homes far away from their jobs. All around you is the evidence of the damage the affordable-housing shortage inflicts on children, on families, and on communities.
