The Orange County Housing Summit

We host the annual Orange County Housing Summit, an event that focuses on critical areas affecting affordable and workforce housing in Orange County. The Summit agenda is developed in conjunction with partners including Neighborhood Housing Services of Orange County, Urban Land Institute Orange County/Inland Empire District Council, Building Industry Association of Orange County, UCI Paul Merage School of Business-Center for Real Estate, Orange County Business Council, Orange County Association of REALTORS, Pacific West Association of REALTORS, and the Association of California Cities – Orange County.

Last Year: “Facing the Fiscal Crisis”

The 2011 summit, “Facing the Fiscal Crisis – Finding Solutions to Create Housing” focused on solutions and alternative funding sources for the development of affordable workforce housing in the region. Speakers and panelists included Leslie Appleton-Young, Chief Economist, California Association of Realtors; Tom Murphy, a senior fellow and urban development/housing expert with the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the Urban Land Institute; Lucy Dunn, CEO of the Orange County Business Council; Christine Iger, CEO of Iger & Associates; and Lacy Kelly, CEO of the Association of California Cities – Orange County.
